Question1) What are the key factors that influence growth of goldfish.
2)I would also like to know if the size of the fishbowl/aquarium affects the growth of the fish eg if a goldfish is kept in a fishbowl and another in a pond - all other conditions being the same (temp, water quality
etc.)- will growth be affected?
Thanks
Anthony
AnswerAnthony,
yes the size of the container restricts the growth up to a point.
The main influence of course on the growth factor is the quality and quantity of the food source.
The more and the higher the nutritional value the faster and stronger the growth pattern.
Water quality, natural sunlight and such play a role as well.
Remember if you take an elephant and put him in a closet he will not stay the size of the closet, same with fish you can restrict to a point the growth.
However they will be what they will be.
