Question
Hi, I have a 55 gallon tank with an Oscar, jackdemcy, and a firemouth. I also have a 45 gallon tank that i have not have set up in a long time. I recently went to the pet store and saw the one fish that i have wanted for a long time. The Columbian shark. I decided that i wanted to set my tank up for this fish. I ask the guy in the store if they were to hold him for me while i set the tank up. They said yes. I purchase the fish and went home to set the tank up. I set up the tank for the cat fish needs. About two weeks later I went and got some feeder fish and put them in so that my cat fish can have food before i bring him home. The fish were all ok. I went to pick up the catfish. When i got home just when i was about to put my catfish in the tank. I notice that all the feeders were dead. I could not understand how did this happened so i open the tank it smelled like clorox. I think my vindictive husband put clorox in my tank. He did not want me to set this tank up. I was very upset. Here i had this catfish and a messed up tank. I had to throw him in with my Oscar, jack demcy, and fire mouth. I was really nervous about this because my Oscar is very aggressive. He really has not payed to much attention to my cat fish. So far he has not really done nothing to him. What do you think? Is it a matter of time?

Answer
As long as they haven't hurt him so far you might be fine keeping him in that tank.

If they were going to do something they probably would have when you first put him in.  If you still feel uncomfortable I'd clean out the tank really good that had the clorox...put the fish back in and get feeder fish when your husband is not home! ^_^
