Question
I noticed you speak about taming cichlids in one of your answers.  How would you go about doing this?  I just put one of ours in "time-out" in a netted cage in the tank....what else can I do to calm his deadly aggression?

Answer
I am not sure of which questions you are referring too. I try to avoid cichlid questions, as mentioned on my profile, as I do not know very much about them. If you have a super aggressive fish there really is not much you can do but seperate it. There is not way of "taming" a fish just a way of sometimes calming them down but this usually only works with semi aggressive fish. Really, its dependant upon each fish. Sometimes when you remove the aggressive fish from the tank and then place the other in, replacing the aggressive fish after other fish are in the tank, it sometimes calms the fish down and helps avoid the fish thinking the tank is thier. But again, this does not work with every fish and is dependant upon how aggressive the fish is. I hope this helps. I am not sure of the question and answer response you are referring too, as I have no idea of the particular answer. I am pretty sure I would never suggest a way to "tame" a cichlid. Let me know if you need anything else, however, I honestly try to avoid cichlid questions.
