Starting some cichlids

Question
I am not by any means new to aquarium keeping, but I have only had community tanks.  Now I want to start a African tank.  Mostly because while at the local pet store I found the most beautiful cichlid I have ever seen.  The problem though is I have no idea what he/she is and what I can put with him/her.  To discribe it she is 1.5 in and is a vivid yellow over bright lavender color with gill plates and fin trim that are almost turquoise she has 5 perfectly shaped black stripes that arrow off on her back, and she has a very beak like mouth.  I believe this to be a "peacock" but I'm not sure enough to make that educated guess on my own.

Answer
Hi Hannah,

It sounds like a Peacock, or a close relative, to me also.

I want to include a great database for you to take a look in to see if you can find her.

I truly hope you find this resource helpful.
