Feeding Guppies

Question
I am interested in adding 3 guppies to my tank, but have heard they need greens.

Is this true? and waht greens should i feed them?

Hello!

If you have any algae in your tank, they do not need greens.

Also, read the ingredients on the main food that you will be feeding them (pellets/flakes). If it has spirinula in it, they do not need greens.

Still, if you want to feed romaine lettuce (not iceburg lettuce, it has no nutrients in it) or boiled zucchini it would make a good treat. Not more than once a week however, and it isn't essential, just a bonus for the fish.
