I have a 150 gallon tank with 2 placostamus'... 14 inches and 12 inches. I would like to know more about sexing them... and if they are male and female... what do I need to know about breeding habits of the placostamus... are they live breeders or egg layers.... any other information that you think might be helpful would be great....

Common Plecostomus are egglayers but are difficult, if not impossible, to sex. They just don't usually have any consistent and outward obvious clues. There are also many, MANY different types of plecos so it could be even more challenging. Here are some web pages to help you if you want to try;
