Question
Hi Karen. I have a 40 inch x 14 inch x 18inch tank. I have an external filter @ 300L capacity. I keep the usual mixture of community fish and plants. I have just bought a Tropical sunlight lamp to go with the Daylight tube. However, I would like to know if it would be safe, fish wise, to now add a Co2 unit for the increase in plant growth. Many thanks. Dave

Answer
Hi Dave,
It pretty much depends upon your lighting levels. If you have more than 1 1/2 watts a gallon then Co2 may be best added.

So decide how many watts you actually have going for your tank and go from there.

Best of luck and I do hope this helps!
