hi karen
We have just got a fish tank and put some mollies in.i have 2 balloon mollies and 2 normal.i noticed that there waz da tiniest extra fish in the tank and then it waz gone.i dont no which mollie the fry waz from.can you help i havent got a clue what to do

Its really too difficult to say which one molly the little baby came from. You'd have to wait until they got older.

Sorry to hear he disappeared. Sometimes other mollies eat their babies but usually its other types of fish doing the most fry-hunting. You can always take any fry you see and put them in a "Breeder net" which is a box shaped plastic frame with fine netting over it that hangs inside your tank. Baby fish are safe in there and they get the benefit of being safe from other fish and still getting to stay in the aquarium.

You can crush some flake food into a little powder to feed molly fry. Make sure you don't overfeed and keep up with water changes as usual and you'll do fine.
