Question
My betta is well bloated , pale , and floats on surface but when he floats on his head and belly but his tail and others stays down when I look down at him from the top his spine his curved like an S or a C is this constipation/SWB or water because I use tap water I treated like 2 drop but the bowl is 1/2 gal I use Tetra Betta Safe " 7 drops per gal"

Answer
Kristen,
The first problem is he should not be in a bowl. They are too small and no heater will work in them. He should be in a tank no smaller than 2.5 gallons where a 5 gallon is better. He needs a heater set between 80-82 degrees at all times. It could be swim bladder disease or constipation or even fish TB.

How often are you cleaning the tank?
What are you feeding him?
What size tank is he in?
What is his water temperature?
What size tank?
Does it have a filter?

If it is constipation, fast him for two days. On the third day feed him a cooked shelled pea and then fast him again for two days. You can try an Epson salt bath to draw out any excess fluid. If the conditioner call for 7 drops per gallon, you should be using 4 drops. It could be that he is suffering from chlorine being left in the water.
