fluval 304 filter

how do I get filter to start pumping water again after cleaning? I cleaned canister and primed the pump but water  is not flowing or pumping out of canister. how do i remedy this or does it just take a little while to get going again? Thanks William

Honestly, I have never had this filter so my suggestions are just ideas. Try filling the filter up with water before you plug it in. If that does not work, perhaps you moved something inside it that is mechanic. However, feel free to ask another expert as this is just a guess. I use regular box filters. Sorry I could not help any more. Let me know if you need anything else.
