Question
is it possible to transport by car my betta from ny to las vegas?taking a 4-5 day run in june

Answer
Sure, it is definately possible. Just get a big enough container and put the fishes tank water into the container. It needs to be big enough so if you hit a bump the water does not splash out. Also, try and put the container somewhere in the car where it will get the least amount of bumps. It would be best if the fish is not constantly floating around due to bumps on the road. Also, provide it ample places to hide as it will likely be stressed at first. After a while on the road it should get more used to the ride. Do not put the fish in a bag like you get them from the store as it will not have enough oxygen. Just get a container that is about twice the size of its normal tank but only fill it with the amount of water that is in the normal tank. Other than these ideas just be cautious with it and try not to scare it or cause unnecessary stress to it. If you are breaking overnight in a hotel be sure to bring the betta in with you. It should do fine, assuming it is strong before it begins the trip. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
