goldfish tumors

Question
I have two tanks. In each I have a fancy goldfish with multiple tumors that just keep growing. On one it looks almost like many warts on one larger tumor. These tumors have been growing for months, on one perhaps more than a year. They look like they should burst but they just keep growing.

Both fish continue to feed and behave normally.

Do you have any advise for me? I am willing to send pictures.

Hi Naomi:  it sure sounds like your fish have tumors... sadly in fish that are so hybridized tumors are bound to become an issue.  As long as they are fine and eating and not sick then just let them be... further down the road you may need to have them put down if it appears they are suffering... but for now... just enjoy them... please keep me posted if anything should change.  dave
