Question
I have a 47 gallon tank and to keep it clean I purchased two catfish bottom feeders. Lately I have noticed that one is one top of the other most of the time at a corner of a cave at the bottom of the tank. Are they breeding? And if they are, do they give live birth or lay eggs?

Answer
I would love to help you with your question. Can you please let me know what type of catfish they are? It will give me more info to go on.  Also, do you know if they are male and female?  It could be just "one of those things" but I'll know better when you let me know what type they are!

Catfish are egg layers, not livebearers. That much I can tell you at this point!

I'll wait to hear back from you and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
