Question
I have been looking into putting a real skull into my 125 gal. tank is there any reason why i could not do this as long as no bleach was used on the cleaning

Answer
Hi DJ
Good question lol.  Never thought about that one, but I don't think it would be a problem.  As long as it was cleaned-no flesh on it, and I'd probably boil it to be on the safe side too.  Only thing I can really think of that may cause an issue, would be if it would raise/alter the ph level.  Bone contains calcium, and I have no clue if that would leech out into the water, suppose it would, but then that's a fairly large tank, I can't imagine it altering it that much if it did.  And, as long as you do water changes frequently, would think it'd be ok.  Just keep an eye on the water parameters and ph levels to make sure they're staying level.

Even if you used bleach, if you rinsed it real good, and used a dechorinator, should be fine too, but I still say boil it to kill anything residing deep inside.  Might want to check with another expert here with more experience, to be on the safe side as well.

Good luck with it!!
