Fish for tank

Question
I am looking to setup my 75 gallon aquarium and i am wanting a community tank. I would like at least 4-5 angel fish of different color variations. I also would like 1-2 clown loach fish. I also would like some fish that school a lot. I also would like to do live plants my lighting is a coral life light fixture with four of their bulbs in it. Will that be sufficient for live plants? Also what fish do you reccomend. My substrate is just live sand, will this be all right? ANy advice would be great. I am reallly wanting an amazing looking tank for showing off. I have done alot of research and had alot of success with 55 gallon tanks but they lack the zing of a veteran fish keeper. Please email me with answers.

Thanks Zac

Answer
Hi Zac:  Freshwater right????   I would get rid of the live sand... and or at least most of it... it is usually coral based and that will mess with your pH.  My fish list would be Angelfish, Discus, T-bone Raspora and rummy nose tetras along with perhaps some neons.  The clown loaches will eat your plants while they are looking for snails.... so I would consider a weather loach or a dojo loach a dwarf pleco or cory cats.  You could also consider adding an elephant nose.  The light set up may be too much light... I think one full spectrum and one plant bulb would be sufficient.  As for plants I am fond of the anubia type plants, sword ferns, crypto corian, dwarf grass, acorus, and maybe a val or three.  I find moss to be more of a pain as half of it always ends up clogging the filter.  Use a good substrate for plants like fluorite and give the fish lots of room to swim without the plants being in their way.  You will want to provide a small amount of current but not much and plenty of hidden air bubblers.... at least two if not four.   Hope this helps... dave
