mix communty of fish

hi about a month ago i bought a 80 gallon tank and the guy included a 10 inch red devil a fire mouth and a few other cichlids i added my albino oscar and now my oscar is turning black and green and the red devil is tearing apart my fish and i think one of them are pregnant and whenever it makes a hole in the gravel the red devil comes and pushes her out of the hole what should i do about the red devil aggresivenes i have tried 2 sell him but cant find anyone and what do u think is wrong with my albino oscar i am very worried about him

Hi Shane;

You need to get that red devil out of there into a second tank or he could kill all your fish. They are called "devils" for a reason and often end up being the only fish left in the tank. Once he is out your oscar should feel much better. He is stressed out and trying to get away but he can't. Provide extra hiding places for everyone too. Cichlids are aggressive and territorial so they need their own caves to hide in. You can even re-arrange the rocks every couple of days to keep the more aggressive ones from establishing territory so firmly.
