Is Tetra Lifeguard safe for guppy fries

Question
I have a 10 gallon tank that is about 2 weeks old. I have 2 platys, 4 tetras and 2 male & 2 female guppies. I noticed that most of the fish shows signs of flashing. One of the platys seems to do more. I thought I saw a few tiny white spots as well. She seems to be hiding under a decor structure a lot and only comes out during feeding times. Three days ago my guppies gave birth to 4 frys. I added floating plastic plants and they are doing quite well. I am thinking of treating my tank with Tetra Lifeguard but I don't know if it would harm the guppy fries. The instruction at the box did not specify any warnings concerning fries just scaleless fish and invertebrates. Today I changed about 3 gallon water, bought a heater and set it to 78 degrees F. I also replaced my 2 weeks old carbon filter element. I bought the Tetra Lifeguard but would like to find out if it is safe for the fries if I were to treat the whole tank. Please help. Thank you.

Answer
Sal,

It is never a good idea to add any medication in a new born fry tank. Since they are only 3 days old, I would not add anything to the tank. Wait at least 3 weeks before adding anything to the water. I have never used the product that you have. Is your tank showing signs of illness or parasites? These types of medications rarely work and its not worth possibly harming or killing the fry. If there are no signs of illness or injury, never treat a tank with any medication.
