how to set up whisper 20 filter

I got as a gift from my friend a whisper filter 20 for my aquarium  which i set up for the first time today. Could you please tell me how to set up this filter in my aquarium.

Hi Sachin,

The instructions should be in the box. Fortunately, I'm familiar with that filter, and I can help you:

Whisper Ex20 filter (by Tetra)

This filter is actually already set up from the beginning. All the components and filtration cartridges should already be in the filter. If not follow the instructions below.

First, unpack everything, and rinse the main compartment with tap water.
Make sure there are no leaks.

Then, take the intake tube and strainer, and position it in the correct location (to the left of the filter).

Now, take the carbon cartridge and insert it into the holder (if not already done). Rinse both the cartridge and the frame under water, to remove any carbon dust. Place it into the chamber.

Take the Bio-Floss insert, and place that in front of the cartridge.

Now, the filter is set up.

Fill up the chamber with water, ad close the lid. If you are using the Timestrip insert, squeeze the button hard until the base turns red. Put that into the receptacle.

Hang the filter over the glass side of the tank, and plug it in. It should self-start within 10 seconds.

If this is a new aquarium, perform 10% water changes every 2 days for the first month, since the beneficial bacteria have not yet established in your filter to remove fish waste toxins.
