can crawfish be kept in tap water and are they blind, if you moved them from an aquarium to a tap water container will it kill thme

Hi Susan:  Crawfish are delicate.  They can live in tap water... so long as you keep it clean.  If I had a crawfish in an aquarium and needed to move it rapidly... I would put it into tap water though my first choice would be bottled spring water... Crawfish are not blind... they have very tiny eye that are very sharp in dim light.  If you transfer a crawfish to a container please make sure it is a glass container...they do not do well in plastic.  Hope this helps... dave
