Question
Hello, I have had fresh water fish aquariums for almost 30 years. The past couple of week, my plycostamus (Tina) has been expiring CLEAR-like poop. I have never seen this before in any fish. Tina is a foot long, and her poop has always been digustingly hardy looking-- until now. Any thoughts? Thanks-Val

Answer
Hi Valerie:  I found your question in the general pool of questions and though its a few days old... I thought I would give it a try.  Tina may be having a mucus discharge.  Mucus helps things in the intestines keep moving.  It can also be a sign of worms or intestinal parasites.  You can treat for either of those with proper medication... food based meds work best... keep me posted... dave
