Question
Hi, for the past week my fish from my 2 aqueriunms have been jumping out even with a cover over it! This is really wierd plz help.THANKS!!!!

Answer
Hi Michael!

Often Aquarium covers have spaces where either filters, heaters, or any other equipment reside. You didn't say what kind of fish you keep, but some fish are really bad about jumping out for no apparent reason. It is almost certain that your aquarium cover has at least some little space in the back part where the filters or other equipment are. Check all along the back part of the aquarium cover and cover any spaces with either fine netting or a type of quilting mesh you can find at most stores in the sewing or hobby section. Cut the material to fit all the spaces and keep it weighted down with a river rock or some other slightly heavy object.

Another concern that is just a "Maybe" but is worth checking is your water quality. Often times fish will leap out of an aquarium in an attempt to escape the bad water.   Make sure your ammonia, and pH levels are normal.

I hope I helped you, Michael!
