Guppy Babies

Question
Hi there David! I have a tank with one male guppy and three females, and they've been having babies like they're going out of style. My question is that does the temperature of the tank or any other factor affect whether the babies will be male or female? All the fry so far have been female, and I want to get some boys out of this male before he dies. Thanks a load!

Answer
Hi Bryony:  The sex of the babies will not show for about a month to six weeks after they are born... when they are babies they all look like they are females... Genetics determines the sex of the fish...so give them some time and you will see boys and girl guppies in your tank... dave
