sad betta

Jaymie, my betta has been sitting on the bottom of his tank not doing much movement. He comes to the top to eat, but not as well as he used . He has a filter that runs all the time and he is i a 2 gallon tank. Why doesn't he swim around any more?

Sorry to hear your Betta isn't feeling well. You didn't mention a heater. Betta's are tropical fish and need the temp in their tank to be at least 82 degrees. It would be good to get one and set the temp lower and gradually higher. I would set it to 78 degrees and up it a degree every 24 hours. I think that once you do this, he will start swimming and being himself again.
