Betta died!

My betta fish died suddenly yesterday. I think it was because i accidentally cleaned his aqaurium with dawn dish soap. Is there any way to make my aqaurium safe again to house another betta?

Yes, most likely it was the soap. The best way to clean the tank is very hot water. You can add a little bit of bleach to the water. If you do, just rinse it out very good. When you are done, and you can still smell bleach, rinse again. Then let it air dry out in the sun. If you are not comfortable with the bleach, that is fine just very hot water will do the trick. Make sure you clean the gravel, heater and any decorations along with the tank glass.
