Question
i have parasites and worms in my tank. i have tried using parasite guard and life bearer for parasites and worms but neither seem to work. i have used these for them for several treatments. the treatments have done nothing. Is there another treatment or way to eliminate these worms and parasites? my concern is the catfish, and plocustumus. if there is another treatment, please write me back. thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Laurie,
When you say "worms", do you mean little white worms that you see on the glass?

If so, then the cure is not to throw chemicals in the water. Those worms only appear when there are too many free nutrients in the water.  In other words, you need to do more frequent water changes.  For a typical aquarium, you should be changing about 20% of the water once a week, every week.  If you do that, your tank should stay healthy.  Given that you already have the worms, I would do a 20% water change each day for the next 3 days and I'll bet the worms will go away.
