Hi,

I have a male pearlscale fish. I have noticed some very small sized holes on his fins, they aren't many, however they are visible if looked at carefully. He is eating well and is very active. His behaviour hasn't changed. Is this a natural occurance or is it fin rot? What steps shall I take to restrict these small sized holes from occuring anywhere else on the body? I am already using an anti-fungus and finrot treatment for my bubble-eye goldfish. Furthermore, can you please tell me how dangerous this is to my fish and whether is it contageous?

Thank you.

Answer
If hes is acting well adn you are putting in anti funi soultion to the tank I wouldnt be very worried about it. It may look like tiny holes are they may be clear finnige. Its likely that it is not a danger to your fish nor should it be contageous. Hope fish gets well.
