parrot cichlid behavior

Question
Hi Ron,
We started our cichlid tank about 6 months ago with one blood red parrot. New Year's Eve day, we added a second blood red parrot. The next day, and everyday since, our origional parrot lays around, occasionally alternating sides, looking dead. He does come up to eat then lays back down, looking dead or at least dying.
The pet store employee (who has a cichlid tank) says the parrot is "pouting" and will adjust to it's tank mate, but this is day 4 of it's "moping" around.
  What do you think?
  Toni

Answer
Hi Toni,
I think you need to go to a new pet store.  Although I can't see the fish, I am pretty sure that the one fish is attacking the other fish.  Unfortunatley, you need to separate them or the one fish will likely be killed.
