hold in the head disease

my friend wants to give me a oscar that has hole in the head will it give my oscar or jack dempsey the disease

Hi Chuck,
Is your aquarium big enough to have two oscars?  One oscar requires 80 gallons of water..two 160 gallons and so on.  The cause of Hole in the Head is poor water conditions, a bad diet, and an aquarium too small for the oscar.  
It is curable.  There are medications especially for Hole in the head. (Hole-N-Head Guard)
When keeping oscars, you must make sure that you have a big enough aquarium, and that your water chemistry is properly kept.  There should be no ammonia in your water.   You must vary their diet to keep them healthy, and happy.  Oscars are intelligent, they deserve to be treated with kindness and care.
