Question
QUESTION: hi again my freinds says he would like the all my fish except my red tail shark which is the one i want to keep but he said he can takew them in a week becuase he wants to put them in his office and he has gone on holiday do you think my red tail will survive a week with the others? thank you

ANSWER: Hi Akhil,
I'm not sure I understand your question.  Why would you send your red tail shark along with the others?  It is not a good idea to send fish away without food for one week seeing as your friend is going away on vacation.  If you have sold your tank, then it would be best to keep your tank, and your fish until your new tank has cycled.  This will take about two weeks.
I hope I am answering this right..

QUESTION: sorry linda i should have made it more clear i meant i onlywant to keep my red tail shark in my 20 gallon tank so i am giving the rest away to my friend but hes gone on holiday for a week so i have to wait till he gets back in a week so will my red tail shark last in my tank with the others for another week
hope this is a bit more clearer
thank you

ANSWER: Hi Alhil,
He should be okay, they only get nasty when they get bigger.  He is getting along with your fish at the moment, so I think he will be okay for another week or two.  Just check him now, and then, make sure he isn't harassing your other fish.  He cannot hurt them, only stress them, but if he is acting normal, everything should be okay.

Answer
She is making her territory, she will swim around more once she feels comfortable.  They like little hiding places.  This could also be a reason why she hasn't got her dark colours yet.  When they are new to a tank, they are a little paler, but once they get use to there territory, their colours come out.  The shyness goes away...lol..she will be fine.  They are really beautiful fish.  When I first saw a red tail shark, I just had to have one.  I did, and he too lived alone in a tank all to himself.  They live quite long, up to 8-10 years, so you will have your little friend for a long time.  We get very attached to them.
