Beta Fish Lump

My beta (Ernie) has a lump underneath his head area (right under mouth.  It appeared yesterday.  Have no idea what it is or why.  I keep his tank clean and feed him 2x a day (5 pellets).  He is a beautiful blue and has beautiful flowing fins and tail.  He doesn't appear sick and is eating.

  Sometimes they get cysts and we don't know why. Most of them heal up on their own and don't need any medicine or help from us. As long as he looks good, is eating and acting as usual there isn't anything you can do. Just keep an eye on him and if things change please let me know.
