electrogenic fish

Question
Hi I have a 55gal tank that currently houses 2 skirted tetras and a 3 inch Black Ghost Knife. The thing is I want to also get an Elephant Noise fish. I've read conflicting answers as to whether I can have the 2 electrogenic fish in the tank together. I know they can't kill each other. But I don't want my pets to starve.
At my local fish store they have Elephant Noses and Black Ghost Knives in tanks together.. I understand many places will tell you anything to make a sale, but these guys insist on a water sample from your tank to test before selling a fish so I would think they would try to be honest...
So my overall question is can I go ahead and buy my EN? Or will my Ghost Knife's electricity interfere with the Elephant Nose's electricity?
Thank you so much for your help

Answer
Hello,
I'm sorry for the slow response. I didn't receive an email.

The reality of the situation is that all fish give off amounts of electricity, and so does everything else that has skeletal muscles.
These fish are just more noteworthy. They should be fine together, and I have seen them together successfully many times.

Obviously, the problem is they both are picky, messy eaters that are difficult to feed, and require very clean water.

Once again, my apologies for the slow response.
