Koi Angelfish Potential Swelling?

I have a 30 gallon tank with a Pleco, Angelfish, and Pictus catfish. While I was away at school for a year, my tank was under the care of my parents. When I returned I noticed my Angelfish had gotten larger, but particularly around what I believe to be his stomach. After reading a few articles I was concerned that this could have been bloating and as suggested fed him a few peas with no affect. Nostalgically the fish was always very slim, is this just the way they grow however? He still eats healthy, swims fine, etc.

Hi Eric,
  If the swelling is just in the stomach area then it could be that your angelfish is a female and is developing a set of eggs.  If the swelling is more general, then that is more of a problem and could indicate intestinal blockage.  The fact that it still eats normally suggests (but not for sure) that it is the former and not the latter.
