Hi

My cat has brought a feral pigeon chick in.  I think it's three days old and I need to know what to feed it on and how to feed it.

Hi Sonia,

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond. What you need to do first is make sure the chick is warm. Since it is only 3 days old, it needs an external heat source such as a heating pad (set on low) with a towel over it or a hot water bottle. Have you noticed any obvious wounds? Bacterial infections can set in fast and deep from cat bites. This baby needs a bird formula and I suggest Kaytee Exact baby bird formula. Just follow the directions on the label. Feeding baby pigeons can be quite difficult, but I have provided a link with a series of pictures of a method that works well:

Just look through the pictures and use smaller amounts and materials for the little guy.
