found a pigeon

 I found a pigeon, it has 2 bands on it.  how do i find out who it belongs to?

I'm sorry for responding late to your question(s).  I was hospitalized and trying to catch up.

Go to www.pigeon.org.  This should be the American Racing Pigeon Union website.  There's a section on lost birds.  Take the information from the leg bands and compare it to the listings on this website in order to help find the bird's owner.  You can also contact the ARPU for assistance in trying to locate the owner.
