The death of my Pet Dove

Question
QUESTION: David Ruble.

I worked for Los Angeles School District and while doings some work at a school I was given a baby dove by a tree trimmer. The dove looked about a week old. I kept her warm and fed her water with a little sugar in it till I could get here home. I had raised pigeons some 30 years ago and I knew a little about weaning babies. I had here for about 8 years as a house pet. She was never exposed to other birds.

She was healthy and strong till a few days before her death.  She didn't stop eating until 5 hours before she died. Her last droppings were very strange to me; it was the size of a dime and pure white, rubbery and with no liquid.

Thanks,
William Park

ANSWER: Sorry, I can't be of much help.  However, 8 yrs is a LONG life for a pigeon/dove.  I guess old age would be my first guess!

Answer
I don't believe the word dove is even in my bio.  Perhaps you should read that before wasting my time with silly questions concerning health issues.  Not my field.  Never claimed it to be.  I have answered many questions concerning health as best as I could and from my experience.  If you don't like my answer, and know so much, please do take it somewhere else.
