Question
Well, she does sneeze sometimes too.  Are these two symptoms cause to worry?  And if so, what should I do?

-----Question-----
Sometimes my bird has a faint whistling sound that appears to come from her breathing when she eats.  I noticed this about 6 months ago.  Is this something to worry about?
-----Answer-----
Hello Esther! Some of my birds have done that to, its completely normal. Its just like a habit, some birds do it and some don't. It almost seems like they feel very happy when eating. But as long as her nostrils are clear and she does not appear to be sick (sneezing, coughing, shivering, weak) then she is perfectly fine, so theres nothing to worry about ^_^

Answer
Hello again! sneezing is normal every now and then. My birds will sneeze sometimes but they are not the least bit sick. Since she sneezes and makes a noise when she eats it could be from the air being too dusty. Dusty air can cause a bird to sneeze and have trouble breathing. Wipe down her whole cage with a wet wash cloth or towel. Also put a large bowl of warm water with wire covering the top(that way the bird doesn't fall in if shes out of the cage) and place it next to the cage. This will increase the humidity and hopefully makes her stop sneezing. If you notice any discharge from the cere or if she starts coughing then get a heat lamp on her right away. good luck
