My parakeet hates me!!

I have had my parakeet Tony for about 4 moinths.He hates everyone and bites me all the time. He never leaves his cage and is always shaking. I have tried seeking professional help but just can't seem to find anyone that is an expert on birds (like an avian vet). He seems normal his usual playful self (meaning he loves playing with his toys not me). I was thinking of getting another bird to atleast let him have some company but I an not sure if I should. any advice?

I'm sure Tony doesn't hate you. He's probably just not used to people yet.
I had a bird, Feather, whom didn't get trained until about a year after I'd had him.

I'd suggest you buy a glove. Then, when you train him, he can bite all he wants and will learn that it doesn't bother you.

Buying another bird won't help if you plan to train either of them. 0f course, if you don't want to handle them and are happy just to watch them in their cage then yes, another bird will be good.
It all depends.
