ANSWER: Hello Alvin,

Your birds should have plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. Most budgies love apples and fresh greens like spinach and parsley. You should only leave the fresh stuff in for about an hour or so. Then remove it and you can always add more.

Giving your birds eggs is a good source of calcium for them. I make scrambled eggs for my birds and they love it. I would NOT make the eggs in a nonstick pan though...just to be safe. If the birds inhale the fumes they could die and I'm not sure what could happen if they eat from one. You can feed the birds the whole egg if you want. But my budgies particularly love them scrambled. Remove the eggs about an hour later.

QUESTION: no im not talking about scrambled eggs im talking about boiled eggs is it ok for them?? the whole thing yellow and white??
and when you scramble do you put salt or anything or you just scramble it. and what do you mean by nonstick pan and stuff?

Answer
Hello Alvin,

Yes, budgies can eat boiled eggs. But only as a once in a while treat. It is very high in everything. It is good for them when they are molting. It is full of protein and calcium. Yellow and white is fine. When making the eggs do not add salt or anything. Just the plain egg. I'm not sure if you have ever heard of Teflon?...but it is a nonstick pan. It produces fumes that can kill birds. I am saying not to use this because i don't know what will happen if your birds eats food cooked in this type of pan. If you don't understand let me know!
