plz help!!!!

hi! ok i just adopted tis parakeet and the owners before i had him clipped his wings WAY to short so he doesent have that great of balence and he just looks so sacred and i have tries to get him used to my hand and all of that jazz but he just looses his balence and almost falls and he bites really hard!!!1 what should i do to make him happy and to like me?? plz help me and thank you soooooooo much

Hi, Katherine.  Thanks for posting!

If you just acquired this bird, you need to give the bird time to get used to you and to it's new environment in your home.  This could take a week or this could take a month or several months, depending on the individual bird.  The wing feathers will molt out with the bird's next molt, so the wing trim problem will eventually go away.  Don't expect too much from your new bird too quickly.  Take one step at a time!  Is this bird tame at all, i.e., were the previous owners able to handle this bird?  If not, you'll need to start from scratch working with this bird.  You need to build trust with your bird, so don't try to do this too quickly with this bird.
