hatching

My parakeets first egg is hatching. You can hear the baby cry and see it moving inside the egg. A very small opening in the top of egg. My question is that it has been 3 hours now and it still hasn't come out of the egg. How long does it take to come out all the way? And is this normal. I'm worried.

I'm very sorry about the late response to your question, I didn't have acsess to a computer over the weekend. I hope your chick has hatched and everything is well three hours isn't too long but some chicks do take a while to hatch it can take upto a day for it to fully hatch.
