Question
hey,
do budgies eat coconuts? like the whit stuff? do they drink the juice inside to? Would it make a good breeding box becasue its round inside? or should i like take all the white stuff ou first and then put it in the cage?

Answer
You can, but I think you're making too much work for yourself.  Rather than trying to break it open, draining out the juice (it has a lot of sugar which can give them diarrhea), you can go to most grocery stores and get shredded unsweetened coconut.  It keeps longer, and is less hassle than working with an actual coconut.

Some people do try coconut nests, but many of these are amateur breeders.  The inside of a coconut is pretty small to use for one.  Plus, it you don't get all of the white stuff, it will mold and the bottom of your nest may rot out.  They're just not too practical.  I would stick with wooden nest boxes.  Definitely not plastic!  I've heard many stories of chicks developing splayed leg from plastic nest boxes.
