staying alone

Question
I need to go away for 5 days...is that too long to leave my budgie? His cage is large and I can put extra food/water in it but I worry about him. Thanks.Donna.

hello donna! 5 days is a little long to leave a budgie alone by its self even with extra food and water. He might get depressed or loney without your companionship. And if anything happens to him there would be no one to tend to him. Ask a friend to watch him while your gone. give them all the instructions to take care of your bird.
