budgie unfertile eggs

Question
last year my budgie laid 10 eggs all unfertile. this year she has laid 5 eggs again unfertile i put a fertile egg in which hatched 2 wks ago mum and dad are looking after it well but why have they not had any fertile eggs i long for them to have their own babies i have seen them do it so why all eggs unfertile hope you can help

I'm sorry for responding late to your question(s).  I was hospitalized and trying to catch up.

You may have 2 females laying infertile eggs.  Successful copulation sometimes doesn't occur for various reasons...I'd need more detailed information and/or you may need to have your budgies seen by a certified avian vet to determine what's going on.  If they have some type of bacterial infection or other, this could prevent fertile eggs.  Any other birds in the same cage?  This could also prevent fertile egg laying.  You may have a male or female that is sterile.
