r they angry

my birds bang there beck on wood or there food bowls are they angry or is it just something that they do.the ones that do it are handtamed

Hello Kaela,

This does not mean they are angry. Sometimes budgies will "bang" their beaks against their mates to show affection. If your budgie has not yet chosen a mate it may just be "practicing", as you would call it, for when it does have a mate. My birds sometimes do this with their reflection or their perch. I really would not worry about it. It is pretty normal behavior. I don't think they are angry or sick.
