I am worried that my parakeets won't feed my parakeet; this is their first chick.  What do I do?

Answer
Try making sure that they have a bunch of different types of food (seed, fruits and veggies, scrambled eggs with the shell mixed in).  With a bit more variety, they may find something they want to give the baby.

Its also possible they are sort of distracted by the other eggs.  They all tend to hatch around the same time, so they may just be waiting for the others.

Sometimes, for weird reasons, the parents won't care for one of their babies.  They will sometimes kick it out of the nest, or just not feed it.  If they do this, hand rearing is probably the baby's only chance.
