my parakeets

Hello,my name is Kendale.

   
         I have three parakeets i was wondering what kind of nest should i buy because some people have told me many different kinds of nests so I'm asking you which one?         

   Also some people tell me that you can tell the gender by the cere is there any other way to tell?


       And i was wondering could i put one of my females in one cage and one in another and let the male fertilize one female and then let him fertilize the other?

Answer
The nest box is a standard used "nest". Its just a square box basically, they seem to prefer it.

It is possible to tell the gender by looking at the cere, but alot of "hers" ended up being "hims" by that method as well. The sure fire way to tell is to see them actually lay a egg or get a DNA test done by ordering a kit and sending off the feathers.


And yes, you can breed them in any configuration that you like. Seperating the females is actually a good idea.
