Whats Wrong With Christopher?

He's usually very talkive, I mean very, fliying, being busy. Then yesterday he seemed pretty still. I mean he still flies and he looks/acts normal, but he nips at me or my husband though wants to be held and he rubs his face a lot on his perch. Like I said, he looks fine in every way, just not acting the same at all. Still flies, etc. He's not wanting to bathe like normal either. Is he bored, lonely, - what? Help!

I would recommend trying to examine his environment. See if anything has changed in his environment or routine that might have caused this change in his behavior. Is he still eating and drinking normally? Is his poop still healthy and normal looking? Sometimes sudden behavioral changes can be the first indicators of illness. However, sometimes behavioral changes can also be influenced by environment changes, changes in the bird's routine, weather/seasons, hormone changes, etc.

I would also recommend scheduling an appointment with your avian vet- just to confirm that he is healthy and there is nothing to worry about medically.
