Parakeet Nesting

Question
I have parakeets (2),male and female. What do i need for the eggs since i am going to school. What type of nesting box and materials? What do i need for healthy birds? And also what is the average amount of eggs/hatchling that a parakeet has?

Hello, I reccomend a normal parrakeet sized nest box from a petshop wooden is better then the little black plastic ones I personaly couldnt see budgies nesting in the black plastic ones there really too tiny. The keets need no nesting material they make no nest within the box. for a first clutch you'd be looking at 3-4 eggs future clutches can be anywhere from 2-10, there are normaly one or two eggs per clutch that dont hatch.
