Question
Recently I found a baby blackbird hanging from my cats mouth and rescued it only to notice that it seems to have a broken leg. Is there anything I can do to help the pain? Also what is the best food to feed it? Its feathers are not developed. Please help.
Thank you, Kelly

Answer
Dead Meal worms and a blend of dried insects, soft fruits.
In the shops it is called "universal food". Make it a little bit wet before giving it to the bird.

The meal worms need to be killed just before it is given to the bird. Tofu is good replacement for the meat the little blackbirds needs.

The broken leg need to be fixed and set. A matchstick is normally the right size for it.
