Will a small bantom roster and a large red island hen have chicks?

Answer
When I first started breeding hens, I got two different clutches of eggs. One was from a bantam cockerel and a bantam hen, one was from the same bantam cockerel and a larger, ISA brown hen, which wasn't a bantam. The bantam eggs hatched, and the large chicken eggs started to develop and then died- it would be an idea to incubate the eggs and see how they turn out but I don't know whether there is something wrong in the genetics which mean you cant breed a bantam with a full sized hen. Get back to me if they hatch!
